Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Jeremiah 33:3

Prayer is a call of faith from a man, limited in himself, to the almighty God who is unlimited in power.  The heart of God is always moved by the cry of prayer.  “And there came a leper to him beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.  And Jesus moved with compassion …” (Mark 1:40-41).

– Prayer is a divine counsel:  God through prayer gives man the key to opening all doors.  Irrespective of the problem, need or issue, call unto God in prayer.  Do not say “I am confused, I do not know what to do”.  God has told us what to do by himself.  Are you sick, poor, afflicted oppressed, depressed, confused, troubled, or lost in sin?  A divine key is given to all men: CALL.

-Prayer is a divine challenge:  God then gives it to man as a challenge.  If you want to know if prayer works, call unto me.  Prove me and see if there is anything I cannot solve.  “BEHOLD, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27).  Receive this challenge today and call unto God in prayer.

-Prayer is a divine command:  God’s word is not a suggestion or a mere opinion.  It is divine charge and command.  “Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89).  God’s settled word commands us to pray: for our own good he charges us to pray.

Friends, there is power in prayer.  Why worry, fear, fret, breakdown, give up, or get discourage when you can pray?

Wisdom focus: Refuse to worry over something you can pray about.  God is waiting to hear and answer your prayer.
