And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Deuteronomy 6:5

The best that God has is the heritage of all addicted lovers of God.  “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Love for God is the key to accessing the good things God has prepared.  Let the love of Jesus be your driving force.

A heart that loves God will also love:

  1. God’s kingdom and vineyard. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33).  Make God’s kingdom your priority.
  2. God’s lost children, yet to be saved. “And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.” (John 10:16)

A heart that loves God means:

  1. A caring and interested heart. When you love God you show care and interest for the things of God.
  2. A submitted and yielded heart. When you love God, you submit and yield to God in all things.  “Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.” (John 10:17).  Submission is key to promotion and elevation.

Beloved, do you truly love God? Do you have a heart for His kingdom?  Can God rely on you to carry out His work?
