This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightestwar a good warfare.
1 Timothy 1:18
Beloved, whether it is personal prophecy or generational prophecy, we need to engage spiritual warfare prayers to see that prophecy come to pass. Deuteronomy 2:24 says “Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.” The prophecy is real, but to see it come to pass, you must wage war in prayers. It takes spiritual warfare to see prophecies become fulfilled.
Why we must war for our prophecies and promises.
- All promised lands are already being occupied by illegal satanic settlers. Oppressors are never begged to surrender, they are forced to surrender. “No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.” (Mark 3:27).
- All promised possessions face constant threat of satanic invasion. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” (1 Peter 5:8).
What to enforce by spiritual warfare:
- The performance of our God given promises. “Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.” (Jeremiah 1:12).
- The sharpening and sharpness of our prophetic sensitivity. “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (2 Corinthians 2:11).
Those who stay in the place of prayer see the manifestations of their prophecy.
